Course at the Governor’s Academy held by the professional and acclaimed teacher, Mr. Brooks, who works as a film marketing consultant at SmartHouse partnering with companies like Netflix.

This course aims to promote Arts & Athletics at the academy through student-curated marketing. Miffy leads multiple campaigns and is part of many teams working on photography, digital design, communications, timeline, organization, and videography.

Miffy has taken this course independently as a self-study in her Junior year and is currently enrolled year-round in the class.

Launch Campaign

This was the first marketing campaign in December of 2022 that launched the project/course to the public through posters, trailers, and social media content.

“9 to 5” | Winter Musical

Miffy worked closely with the marketing team for the winter musical, “9 to 5” in February 2023.

She organized the photoshoot for the poster-making process and worked in collaboration to produce the final poster. She also photographed the musical production for documentation and content purposes.

‘Making Space | Dance Concert

Miffy worked with the marketing team on the Winter Dance Concert in February 2023 showcasing the 10 unique performances of the academy’s dance team.

She worked to manage a photoshoot and designed the final poster. Miffy also worked to create lettering for the trailer as well as capturing imaging from the concert.

‘Pink in the Rink’ | Hockey Game

Miffy led the ‘Pink in the Rink’ team of three to coordinate, market, and host the charity event organized by the Varsity Hockey teams and the athletic department against cancer for the Jimmy Fund of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Miffy spearheaded the photoshoot and curated the individual and event posters. ON top of that she managed the instagram content as well as videography of reels. The event grossed over $20k donation for the foundation, quadrupling the amount from the year prior.

‘Soups On’ | Charity Sale

Miffy collaborated with the Soups On afternoon activity February 2024 that designs and makes pottery for sale that raises money for the local food-bank. She is working under Josephine DelGazio who is conducting this campaign as an independent project under the course.
